Importance of Timely Book Adoptions

The bookstore sets a deadline for textbook adoptions each semester that faculty members should strive to meet! An important reason to have textbook adoptions submitted by the deadline is to ensure that your textbooks are available online and in-store before the semester is due to start. The most important reason to get your textbook adoptions submitted on time is that it will save your students money! It will allow us to get access to more used books, instead of having to purchase new books from the publisher.

As part of the Higher Education Opportunity act the university must make available on the intuitions internet course schedule the ISBN and retail price information of required and recommended college textbooks and supplemental material for each course listed in the intuitions course schedule used for pre-registration and registration purposes. In other words, once registration starts course material information must be available for the students to view. Please help the university stay compliant with federal law and submit your adoptions in a timely manner. Thank you.
